目的与目标群体 Purpose & Target Group

神学硕士（圣经神学）设计目标是为了提升有资格的学生在事工上成为神学教育者或讲师。因为这是一门高级专业课程，学员会在导师的带领下进行研究方法能力的培训，为的是要提高学生对圣经神学主要问题的批判性研究能力。这些能力将会显示在学生神学硕士论文中。上课方式是线上上课但是也包括一些实体要求。

The Master of Theology in Biblical Theology program is designed primarily to qualify graduates to function as seminary lecturers, principal leaders, or ministers. As a graduate level program, it requires the student to develop research methods for analyzing and evaluating issues under the supervision of a faculty member. Normally, the attainment of analytic and evaluation skills will be demonstrated through the completion of a thesis. The program will be offered online with some on campus requirements.

 入学要求  Entrance Requirements

·         申请者需要完成马浸神申请表。

·         申请者有获取被承认的道学硕士或相等的学历资格（至少3.0 平均积点成绩（GPA））。

·         申请者受呼召进入教导服事。

·         申请者有积极参与本地教会或宣教禾场的教导事工。

·         申请者有考虑过需要奉献至少两年时间来完成高级学习的要求。

·         申请者有修过初级希腊文（6学分）和初级希伯来文（6学分）。没有达到原文学分的申请者必在神学硕士的第一年里完成。

·         申请者得到教会领导的推荐。

·         申请者必需提交一篇短论文用来证明其研究与写作能力。

·         申请必需通过导师的确定。

·         Completion of MBTS application forms.

·         Completed an M.Div. degree program (or equivalent) from accredited schools with a minimum of GPA 3.0.

·         Called to Christian ministry with a conviction to serve in a teaching ministry.

·         Covenanted to be involved in a Christian/Church ministry during the period of learning.

·         Considered the “cost” of setting aside a minimum of 2 years to complete the Program.

·         Completed Elementary Biblical Greek and Elementary Biblical Hebrew (6 credits each). Those who do not have this language prerequisite must complete it within the first year.

·         Commended by Christian/Church leaders.

·         Demonstration of research and writing ability by submitting a sample research paper.

·         Approval of academic supervisor.

课程目标 Learning Outcomes

神学硕士（圣经神学）有以下的课程目标：

  1. 学生将表现出对圣经神学的高级理解。

  2. 学生将表现出在圣经神学的研究方面有极高的自我计划和提出疑问的能力。

  3. 学生将表现出在使用学术性的工具和方法进行研究方面具有较强的能力。

  4. 学生将表现出有效传达研究结果的能力。

The ThM program promotes the following student learning outcomes:

  1. The student will demonstrate advanced understanding in biblical theology.

  2. The student will demonstrate the ability to plan research and ask appropriate research questions in biblical theology.

  3. The student will demonstrate the ability to conduct research using standard scholarly tools and methods.

  4. The student will demonstrate the ability to communicate the results of research effectively.

 

毕业要求 Graduation Requirements

·         修完 36学分 Complete 36 credits.

·         达到至少3.0 平均积点成绩（GPA）。Obtain a GPA of 3.0.

 导师 Academic Supervisor

申请神学硕士（圣经神学）之前，学生必须与潜在的导师沟通。申请时，学生必须要求一名导师，并且该导师必须同意监督学生的学习计划。 神学硕士（圣经神学）主任将协助学生确定潜在的导师。导师必须由神学硕士（圣经神学）主任和招生委员会批准。

All students must communicate with a potential academic supervisor before applying to the ThM program. At the time of application, students must request a supervisor and the supervisor must agree to supervise the student’s program of study. The ThM director will assist students in identifying potential supervisors. Supervisors must be approved by the ThM director and the admissions committee.

  

英文要求English Requirements

由于是研究学位，神学硕士（圣经神学）要求学生研究最新的圣经神学学术性文献。因此，要求学生具有基本的英语阅读能力。而且要求学生在整个神学硕士（圣经神学）课程中其英语阅读技能必需有所提高，特别是对于那些有兴趣继续攻读博士学位的学生。
在学习的第一年，学生将学习神学性英语课程，这将使学生有能力研究圣经神学的学术文献。这将是无平均绩点（GPA）课程。

 As a research degree, the ThM requires students to engage with current scholarship in biblical theology. As such, students are required to obtain a basic level of English reading ability. Students are expected to work on their English reading skills throughout the ThM program, especially for those interested in continuing to a PhD program.

During the first year of study, students will take a course in theological English, which will equip students to research academic literature in biblical theology. This will be a non-GPA course.

 

圣经原文要求 Original Language Requirements

申请时，申请者必须证明其圣经希伯来文和圣经希腊文的能力达到道学硕士级的要求（两个原文必修过6个学分）。缺少这些学分的申请者可以申请“有条件性的录取申请”，其条件是申请者需要在论文阶段之前完成其原文学分的要求。

Applicants must demonstrate MDiv-level mastery of Biblical Hebrew and Biblical Greek (6 credits each) at the time of application. Applicants lacking these credits will have the opportunity to apply for conditional admission and will be required to complete the original language requirements during their ThM program before the thesis stage.

 

 论文  Thesis

学生将准备至少三万字的论文。论文写作过程将包括准备论文计划书，论文写作和论文答辩。在整个写作过程中，导师将会给学生提供指导和建议。

Students will prepare a thesis of at least 30,000 characters. The thesis writing process will include the preparation of a prospectus, thesis writing, and oral defence. Faculty supervisors will guide students through the writing process.
